When you're trying to pass a drug test, everything counts. The timing of your arrival at the testing facility. The temperature of your urine specimen when it arrives at the laboratory. Even the color and consistency of that sample can influence whether or not you'll pass the test. If you're nervous about passing and want to do something extra to guarantee success, adding water to your sample is one way to go about it -- but this isn't necessarily going to work as well as you think it will! In this article, we'll talk about what happens if you add half water to urine sample during a drug test and whether or not it's worth trying in the first place.
At a quick glance, it might look like the color of your urine is darker than it should be. While this could be a sign of dehydration or pregnancy (or both), it's also possible that you just haven't had enough water this morning and are not fully hydrated yet.
It's important to remember that the color of your urine depends on what you eat and how much water you drink throughout the day; it can even change from hour-to-hour depending on how much liquid you have consumed in between bathroom breaks!

You can test for urine dilution by adding half water to your sample, but it's not worth the trouble. You'll get caught and punished for it. That's right--if you add half water to your urine sample, you might as well just hand in an empty cup because they're going to know anyway. It's easy enough to tell when someone has diluted their urine sample with H2O: they'll fail all of their tests!
If you add fluids, the lab will know. They can detect whether or not your sample contains fluids and will reject it if they do. The result of this test will be invalidated and you won't be able to get an accurate answer from it at all.
It's not a good idea to add fluid.
If you try to fool the lab by adding half water or other substances, then they will catch you and punish you. They might even refuse to test your sample and send it back for more evidence of authenticity (like DNA).
